| Hi, my name is Ursina and I’m from Switzerland. I went to New Zealand to improve my English, especially the Business English. But there was much more than just learning English… Learning about other cultures, people and languages was very interesting and at Unique NZ I met so many people from different countries like Saudi Arabia, Russia, Japan, Thailand, China, Colombia and other countries from South America and Europe. We all had a great time together. The staff at Unique NZ is very friendly and they helped me in every situation. Also the teachers are friendly and funny. They taught me good and wise English, so I learned a lot in only four weeks. To be honest, four weeks were too short but I experienced a lot of things in this short time. I went to two weekend trips, where I met other students from other schools and I saw different parts of New Zealand. I lived in a host family. I think I had the most wonderful host family and the best host sister!! We spoke a lot with each other and we had a lot of fun. Also the cooking was great 😉 My host sister has been there for six month when I arrived, so she showed me everything. In the morning I was in the Business English class. We learned a lot of useful vocabulary and we had many discussions in class. We saw the differences in the different cultures and how to do business in different countries. In Switzerland I’m studying Business Administration. So it was very interesting for me to learn the same subject in another language. In the afternoon I joined the General English class. We did a lot of speaking and we had much fun! To learn with little games vocabulary or grammar is just a good idea and much easier. Because we call the teachers by their first names, the lessons were very relaxed and personal.
For me it was a great time. I will miss it!!
